Trista Otto
Licensed Intern
Are you feeling stuck on certain issues in your life? Do you feel as though you have tried everything in your power to cope with or handle this problem? As a state intern Couples and Family Therapist I can provide you with psychoeducation, a safe space, and collaborative approach in order to best assist you with your individual needs. I utilize a Narrative approach paired with Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) that I tailor specifically for each client.
I do come from a systems perspective meaning that one person is not the complete cause of the problem at hand. There are many individual factors leading into a given problem. I am here to be your guide in figuring that out and to assist you in gaining your power back from that issue.
I have just recently graduated with my Masters in Couples and Family Therapy and have been practicing in the field for 2 years. I do have some prior experience working with children diagnosed with Autism as being a Registered Behavioral Technician. Although this is no longer my primary focus, I am open to clients with co-occuring issues. Throughout my time practicing, I have had the pleasure of working with Individuals, couples, and families. I would like to specialize in working with children and families as I continue in this field. I got into this field due to wanting to help others, specifically anyone who has been impacted by Cancer. I am a survivor myself and have been in remission for over 10 years now. I know how difficult this can be to not only the diagnosed individual but also everyone else in their system as well.
